A lot of people - almost everyone and me included - feel awkward in photos.
I hear it every time I'm chatting to couples before their wedding day. But I think we aren't awkward, we've just had far too many awkward photos taken. My approach to photographing people side-steps the cheese and just focuses on the natural stuff.
And that's what I reckon is important to photograph. After all, your wedding photos should look like you - not just 'like wedding photos'. Let's ditch the cliche and create something a bit more genuine; no awkward posing, no fuss - just a couple of people really into each other, some good light and some meaningful moments between the people you have around you.
