A lot of people – almost everyone and myself included – feel awkward in photos. I hear it every time I’m chatting to couples before their wedding day. But I think we aren’t awkward, we’ve just had far too many awkward photos.

My approach to documenting people focuses solely on real, genuine and emotive moments, resulting in photographs that are true and unique to you.

And the process of creating these photographs is absolutely more important than anything else. From planning the day, the day itself, through to enjoying the photographs for years to come – my aim is to not just make it easy but also for you to love every single moment of it.

If I can create a space where you’re stress-free and just absorbed into the moment, then beautiful photographs just happen.

Hi, I’m Spencer, a wedding photographer, husband and dad.

I’m an Australian-based photographer capturing weddings around NSW’s South Coast, Southern Highlands, Sydney and further afield. After a brief but chilly stint in the UK, I’m back in this big beautiful warm country and loving every minute of it.

I love the ocean, sunshine, indie music, good coffee and good company.

Why work with me?

I’ve been photographing weddings and couples for over 5 years, and I know how to handle any situation.

I’ve shot in various locations and countries, from beaches to mountains, from rainforests to deserts. I have all the necessary equipment, backup gear, procedures and insurance to ensure a smooth and stress-free day.

I don’t just take photos, I tell stories.

I never set out to take wedding photographs. To me, following a checklist of ‘must have wedding photos’ is only ever going to mean I miss documenting what is more important – yourselves, your people, all the emotion – essentially all the beautiful details that make your day uniquely you.

I make sure you love the experience. 

I want you to feel comfortable and relaxed with me, so that you can be yourself and enjoy your day. The most common feedback I receive from couples is how they felt that they’d just spent the day with a friend rather than a photographer. Don’t worry – I don’t take over your day; I just make sure you’re comfortable and having the best time possible.

I understand that weddings come in all shapes and sizes, and I love to document them all.

I’ve photographed weddings on mountains, in forests, in cities, churches, small bars, on farms, in vineyards and everything in between and I’ve loved them all. All that is important to me is that you have the wedding YOU want and love your wedding day – after that, amazing photos will happen organically because you’ll be having the best time possible.

To book me, simply fill out the contact form on my website or send me an email at spencer@loveofmine.co. I’ll get back to you within 24 hours with more information and availability. To secure your date, you’ll need to sign a contract and pay a deposit.

The sooner the better! Typically couples book me between 9-18 months before their wedding and this helps as I can assist in any planning to help make sure your wedding day is amazing and perfect.

I typically photograph weddings on the South Coast, the Southern Highlands, Sydney, Blue Mountains and most of NSW but I also often travel interstate or internationally for weddings. My travel costs are entirely transparent and I just ask you cover flights and accomodation.

I never give out a specific number because every single wedding is different. But typically, I would expect to deliver 600-800 images for a wedding day.

Of course! You have full printing rights to your photos. You can print them yourself or order prints through me. I work with a professional lab that offers high-quality prints, albums, canvases, and other products.
